Man United: money on Nani, Hernandez is the deal

Nobody is better at beating down a player revolt than Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
From legends like Roy Keane and David Beckham, to Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo – the United dressing room has never been allowed to fall apart (a la Chelsea, and possibly Arsenal).
One reason is United keep players happy. Case in point is Nani’s new megabucks four-year deal — worth a whopping £130,000 a week.

Portuguese winger Nani, 24, has two years to run on his current contract, worth £90,000 a week.
He is perfectly happy at Old Trafford — despite interest from Juventus and AC Milan — and there are no problems over the terms of his offer.

The £18m buy from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 took time to find his feet in England but was last term voted United's players' player of the year.

Now United will rocket him into the same pay bracket as their highest earners. On the other end of the scale is the desire and loyalty that Sir Alex is able to inspire in players. Case in point, Javier Hernandez. The Mexican striker has already netted 29 goals in just 18 months at the club — 10 of which have come from the bench.

Any striker with that record would demand a regular place. Not Chicharito. He has no problem with his role as Manchester United's new supersub. The 23-year-old said: "I just want to help my team. I don't care if I'm on the bench.

"Last year I was on the bench at the start and then I was in the team towards the end of the season. The gaffer has the answers.

"Every player in every team wants to play as many minutes as possible, but I don't care if I start or I'm a substitute.

"I just want to enjoy it. I am living a dream to play for Manchester United."
Comparisons are being made with another United super-sup - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian scored 28 from 150 sub appearances but Hernandez's 10 goals have come from only 30 games.

Red Devils boss Alex Ferguson put Solskjaer's success down to the intense way he watched and studied a game from the bench.

Hernandez though cannot put his finger on why he has been so effective as a sub and admits it could all just be a bit of luck.

He added: "I don't know what makes me effective as a substitute. I don't have the answer.
"In football you can't always come up with a reason, because of this or that.
"If I play one minute, 10 minutes or 90 minutes I try to play the same. My mind is always to do my best and help my team.
"There are some times in the game when we need to score and perhaps I have had a little bit of luck."
With Nani, Hernandez and a little bit of luck, Manchester United look to have a bright future.

Man United set to offer winger Nani new four-year deal

MANCHESTER UNITED are to open talks with Nani over a megabucks new four-year deal — worth a whopping £130,000 a week.

The champions are ready to spend after raking in a record £175million profit in six months.
United also cut their debts in the second half of last year with the money owed to the Glazer family, under the terms of their takeover, reduced from £508m to £439m.
Now United will rocket him into the same pay bracket as their highest earners.SunSport revealed in November that the Old Trafford paymasters pencilled in talks for early this year. Those discussions are set to begin over the next week to extend Nani's stay until 2016.Boss Alex Ferguson is convinced Nani can develop into a similar player to Cristiano Ronaldo and become a Reds legend.
The mercurial star began this season in superb form and returned to the side for last week's Europa League win in Ajax after being out for nearly a month with a foot injury.
United released figures for the last six months of 2011 which show they will still be kings of Manchester off the pitch... even if their neighbours and Premier League leaders City take their title. The £175m profit is £18.5m up on the same period in 2010, an increase of almost 12 per cent. This season's Champions League flop means figures for the next six months are likely to be less impressive. And while United remain England's richest club, they fell further behind Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in football's money league.
Their match-day revenue was up from £52.4m to £54.5m.

Media increased from £53.7m to £60.9m and commercial revenue from £50.4m to £58.6m.
Cute deals — like the £10m-per-year training kit sponsorship by DHL — helped the Glazers continue to exploit United's brand.
The positive figures came despite United's increased outgoings.
Signing David de Gea, Ashley Young and Phil Jones meant net spend on players soared from £11.7m in the last six months of 2010 to £47.9m in the same period last year.
United fans opposed to the Glazer family are angry so much of the club's income is spent on paying off the takeover debts.
A spokesman for the Manchester United Supporters' Trust said: "The Glazers have now spent every penny of the money received from the sale of Ronaldo, and more.
"That's now £92.8m spent on buying back their own bond debt that they loaded on to our club.
"So statements at the time that all of the Ronaldo money would be made available for reinvestment were clearly just spin.
"Since the sale of Ronaldo in 2009, net transfers have totalled just £90m while they have taken out £225m to cover debt payments and interest."

Nani: Saya Bukan Tukang Diving

"Mereka bukanlah fans saya.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S NANI: I WON'T BE CITY FALL GUY

NANI has had the final word on the Vincent Kompany red card challenge which saw the Manchester FA Cup derby explode in controversy.
The United star didn’t react to the City defender’s two-footed tackle which left boss Roberto Mancini furiously denying that it was a sending off.

But Nani has claimed if he hadn’t jumped out of the way he could have suffered serious injury.

“I jumped,” said the Portugal star. “I jumped in that tackle. If I didn’t jump I might not be here to play. It was a very dangerous challenge. It was two feet.

“He didn’t touch me, it’s true – but sometimes you see very bad tackles on the legs and it’s just a yellow card. Or no card.

“That was the referee’s opinion and we have to respect that.”

Nani, who has been accused of going down too easily, strongly denied he’s a serial diver and claims other players and fans are jealous of his talent.

He added: “This is funny. I don’t know. The quality I have got makes people jealous. Of course the fans who say that are not Manchester United fans.

“They’re not the ones who like me. If I play against Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea and someone gives me a tackle or pushes me I go down.

“But they will say he goes down easily. Yes, it’s not a foul. Of course, they will defend these players. That’s why they say I go down easily.

“But if you ask my team-mates, the people who work with me, they know me. They don’t say I go down easily.”

Nani praises Reds' response

Nani thinks United provided the perfect response to the European exit by putting Wolves to the sword at Old Trafford.

Last season's Players' Player of the Year was outstanding and scored twice in a Barclays Premier League fixture for the first time as the Black Country outfit were beaten 4-1.
In this sort of form, the winger is a nightmare proposition for defenders and, after swelling his goals tally in the league to five this season, there is hope he'll continue to dazzle throughout the festive period.
"I think we had a fantastic performance," he enthused to MUTV. "Everyone played well and I think everyone wanted to win this game. It's the way we normally play, who we are and, of course, it was a fantastic afternoon with a lot of goals. Everyone is happy with the game.
"It's been tough. We know we always go the final stages of the Champions League and we're used to qualifying easily through the groups, so this time it's disappointing.
"We did not expect to go to the Europa League but we are still alive and still have the opportunity to play like today. We just have to do our best to win the competitions we are in.
"Of course, the last game [v Basel] was a bad moment but I think we responded very well with this game today and I hope we keep doing the same until the finish of the season."
In terms of his own form, Nani was pleased with his contribution to the convincing victory as he also assisted Wayne Rooney's first strike.

"It's always nice to score goals and help the team win the game," he explained. "It's important for the team I'm on my best form and I'm happy with my performance. I've been working hard to try and be at my best as then I can help the team.
"I enjoy playing everywhere - the most important thing is my contribution to the team is the best. I will always try to show the quality I have. I just want to score goals, enjoy my football and win the games."

United Siapkan Kontrak Baru Untuk Nani

Man United pun langsung mengambil langkah cepat usai menangani kabar ini. Menurut The Sun, kubu Setan Merah siap menaikkan gaji Nani dari 90.000 euro per pekannya menjadi 130.000 euro.
