Juventus To Return For Man United Winger In The Summer

Serie A giants will move again for Portuguese misfit.

Italian giants Juventus are set to make a return for Manchester United misfit Nani when the transfer window re-opens in the summer, according to talkSPORT.

Juve coach Antonio Conte had been linked with a move for the 27-year-old during the January transfer window, but a move was put on the shelf as David Moyes claimed the player was struggling with a serious hamstring injury.

The Serie A champions weren’t the only ones interested in his signature, but Moyes sought to block any move that came in for him. Both Milan sides were interested, as were Shakhtar Donetsk, but Juve were favourites to snap him up late on in the window.

But despite the knock back, Conte remains optimistic that he will be able to persuade Moyes to sell and strike a deal for the Portuguese international.

Fellow midfielder Anderson, who joined United around the same time as Nani recently denied claiming that several United stars were looking for a swift exit, despite quotes originally claiming that the former Sporting Lisbon man wanted out the most.

Nani doesn’t appear to have much of a future at Old Trafford and Conte will look to take advantage of that in the summer.

Nani deal may give Manchester United first refusal on William Carvalho

Manchester United may still sell Nani back to Sporting Lisbon in a deal that would net them the first option to sign midfielder William Carvalho, according to reports in Portugal.

Nani has been strongly linked with a move since last summer, with Juventus thought to have been closest to landing the Portugal international in January.

The former Arsenal target stayed put, although that has not ended speculation linking him with an Old Trafford departure.

And A Bola reports that Nani may still make a surprise return to Sporting Lisbon, the club he departed for Manchester in 2007.

As part of any agreement, United would reportedly seek a first right of refusal on William Carvalho, the 21-year-old Sporting midfielder who has also been linked with Arsenal.

United have already scouted him more than five times this season, and the Portugal international is highly regarded in his domestic league.

His Sporting contract does not expire until the summer of 2018, and he has a massive £37.5m release clause.

Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona have all watched the highly-rated youngster, but United have the greatest need in central midfield.

He's made 17 appearances for his club this season, scoring two goals.
